My financial situation is really tight right now and I really need money. I'm totally willing to work but I'm still in high school and I haven't even turned 16 yet. Not many people are willing to hire and 15 year old. I've tried going around and asking stores but all have turned me down without even considering. I believe its merely because of my age because I present myself nicely and I'm really polite when I need to be. If anyone can help me please do!

it is often not what you know but who you know. find some good adult advocates and ask for their help to find you a position. a small one page summary of who you are, your qualities and goals in life would also be handy to have for giving to people including your advocates. good luck.

Why at 15 are you desperate for money? I am wondering if you have a problem like gambling or drinking. I cannot image you being desperate for money. Have you spoken with your parents about your situation? In most states, you have to be 16 and obtain a working permit before you can work. It has to do with Child Labor Laws. Have you tried lawn work or small chores in your neighborhood? In most cities they offer employment for youth during the summer. I hopes this helps!

lol------welcome to the club honey. wait until you have to pay for the roof over your head too. honestly, right now you got it easy. go see if anyone on your block needs a babysitter, offer to mow your neighbor's grass, rake leaves, etc... when i was in highschool eons ago we could work for our school cleaning classrooms or running errands for the school office and stuff. see if your school has that. since you are only 15 you may need a workers permit to get a job at the mall and such, ask your parents. you could even offer to wash cars for your neighbors for 5 bucks a car or something.

They can't hire you no matter what. You are too young, per Law.
You have to stick to babysitting, car washing, lawn mowing, dog sitting and things like that till you are over 16
