Jeep wrangler plastic fender flares have become faded from the sun. Any way to refinish them besides the armorall which looks good for a day.

Try a low grit buffing compound and take a buffer to it. After you are done with that wax it. If there are swirl marks still on there repeat as necessary. It's alot cheaper to do that than to have it repainted or buying a new one that will match it from the salvage yard.

color match wax, armor all, polish, light buff, a good cleaner to remove the oxidation, re-paint, just how bad is the fading? there are several means to restore color, it all depends on how much restoration is needed.
I'd suggest to start with a good cleaner and then apply a protectant like amorall or colormatch wax first if that doesn't satisfy then move to more drastic steps.
I wouldn't recommend trans or brake fluid, etc., like armorall alone it would only last a short time and can accelerate the oxidizing/aging process. do start with a good cleaner though one that will remove oxidation, then apply a protectant to slow the oxidation process

Go to an automotive paint supplier and buy som SEM bumper paint. It comes in several shades of black and gray.

Scrub your trim well using dishwasing detergent, and even "Comet" to remove all the dirt and oils and such. Let it dry vey well thehen tape off the trim and lighlty spray with the SEM. It looks great.
It may not be much harder to remove the trim, then clean and repait, and you wouldn't run the rsik of overspray.

There is paint made just for the plastics. I have used them and they hold up pretty well. Clean and dry it, spray it on really easy. Get it at your local parts store. Not expensive so you can reapply as often as you need to.

Quadratec.com has a product for that purpose and it does a great job of restoring the color of the flares.

There once were cars built with no plastic in them.

Imagine that, a world without plastic...once upon a time.

Were we better off then?

Ask earth.
