Try being a girl online sometime. The avatars still get you unwanted attention, let alone a pic.

First you have to have a 360 account, upload your pic there, and you can get it here from that 360 account--or at least that is what my fiancee told me when I asked him how he did his.

As far as why I have an Avatar, I feel I should wander around with a paper bag over my head, and the Avatar gives me a feeling of security.

As far as the young whippersnappers among us, they probably answer questions in such a way that they do not wish their friends to know it is them making such very stupid replies, thus they hide behind an Avatar.

But, paper bag or no, as long as I do not use my real name, which I am not, than using my pic should be fairly safe...I just need a bit of courage.

Tell me, you have your pic up, do strange people stop you on the street and cuss you out for answering a question the way you do???

How would you know if people had the technology to put their pics on their computer. Many people may not have a camera phone, or a digital camera of some sort. Plus, many people don't want to show their faces, because of the many pervs thats on the internet. The picture doesn't make the best answer, the wisdom and the intelligence that comes from the person makes it.

properly whilst a picture represents you, does it actually matter variety if its a picture of your face, or resembling some thing else. Its like the mathematics fact a=b, b=c, as a result a=c. As to age, till the persons age is mandatory to the question, who somewhat cares. inspite of a few the subjects that could be unfold out by using enmity, i think of It exchange into between the main suitable issues the web ought to offer, the place who you're have been desperate yet what you probably did, no longer your age, gender, colour you're. Man you're on a soap box. My logo (pix) speaks for itself. I'm a boomer....so goes the ICON pix I use. You don't like it don't look at them!!

What really matters is what the writer responds to your question in the form of a responsive answer. I do my best to answer if you were sitting right in front of me listening.
I'm matter of fact, educated and have wisdom to offer....

First of all, people don't want to use their real pics because they want to remain anonymous to anyone who might recognize them and criticize them for their comments on Yahoo Answers. Second of all, people's looks are not the issue on this website. Answers to questions are. I disagree with you. Pictures don't make your answers effective. Only truth and wisdom can do that.

No will do. As many crazies are in this world, it's never a good idea to post a real pic of yourself or post info about yourself. If some crazy nut wanted to find you bad enough, they will.

I would never show my face on here. i would love to be able to trust, as you say, but it is just not realistic anymore.

One time, I did put my 1st grade picture on here and got 2 pedophilic comments. It made me so sad to take it down. Something innocent ruined.
