YESSSS they can be used on sale items BUT CVS has recently changed their policy (at least here in chicago) they USE to accept more than 1 extra buck at a time but since people like ME would get their purchase for FREE they changed that...only 1 extra buck/cvs coupon per purchase....but u can use those coupons WITH a retail coupon!!! TRY it together first...the worse they can say is NO...if not then split your purchase up in 2 transactions!!!

Yes, you can use Extra bucks on any purchase(except tobacco, milk and prescriptions). As long as your total is high enough, you can use more than one coupon at a time. For example, if your purchase is $22, and you have a $ off a $20 purchase coupon and an extra buck coupon for $3, you could use both coupons.
