Yes. It is a great country. North of Oman is hot during summer but South calm and green. If you are planning to visit it now, I would recommend you to visit south as the temperature now is between 25-30 C. It is green and it is the tourist season but difficult to find a hotel now. I fyou are planning to visit North where the capital Muscat is located, it is best to visit it between November and February as the weather is fantastic during that period. Oman is a safe country and people respect and like foreigners

Yes, I have visited Oman. It's been a while. I was there for 3 weeks. Very hot during the day. Desert for as far as the eye can see. The air is very thin due to the lack of trees. Slightly cool at night. The insects are something I had never seen before. They are an allie of the United States. The country is run by a prince. It's an Immirate state. The men wear daggers on their side and wear turbines. They ride camels and the camels smell horrible.

Anyway, I have, and I loved the place, although it was a bit of a pain having to get a visa. I went in the summer, so it was obviously very hot, but it seems a fairly safe and laid-back sort of place.
Funniest thing was seeing a road sign at a junction saying "[Can't remember the name of the town,but it was the next place you would come to on that road] - 905km! They do have some pretty barren areas there!

Yes i 've been to Muscat a couple of times for fun.
whenver we get a public holiday so me and my friend do visit muscat. Last week it was very difficult to get a hotel there but then we finally managed to get one.
But whey are you asking this,,, if you need some assistance or guidence for which place to visit then please mention that otherwise members will only reply "yes and no" in accordance to your question.

just to the airport...when i was goin to bombay...it was a via flite...
dubai-oman-bombay...the airport seemed okay to me....i dunno abt the country though.....
