My valet and I just returned from a 3 month.tour of Europe and I was shocked to find that they have taken ALL our words and changed them around. And then, they pretend to not undertand me when I would order them to do something. No matter how loud I talked. Why would they take our words and make new ones? It makes no sense. We have perfectly good words here. Like table, dog, house, etc.. Why not use them? I SUPPOSE they have a right to do so, but I don't have to like it.

I think it's also terrible that in the several thousand years that they had their words they can't even pronounce correctly the one's that are the same.

I mean you've managed to pronounce them correctly in a few hundred years...

By Europeans what do you mean?
There are similar words in languages, especially if they are in the same language branch. In your case, English is an Indo-European language which has many common things with other European languages such as German, French, etc. Moreover, if you're talking about French, most of English words are loan words (borrowed from) from French. If you're talking about British English, then you have to accept it, like it or not. That's a dialect and it's affected by a lot of things, geography, sociology, and so on.

You think they have taken your words and changed them, but the truth maybe that they are just similar words.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and presume you are joking. Otherwise I would not believe you can be that idiotic. How fortunate, if you are speaking the truth, that you are able to travel in this way and be able to have the opportunity to LEARN about other people. Many do not have this opportunity and would love to be able to learn about other people's languages and customs. As I live in the European Community (the UK) I am disappointed to hear you speak in this manner. How very bad mannered you are. And, additonally, did you not know that the volume of something does not make it more clearer. I would have hated to be anyone in the service industry and have to deal with people such as yourself. My congratulations to those who had to put up and shut up in order that they can earn a living to keep themselves and their families. I would suggest that you do not venture out of your own country ever again, stay in your little ivory tower and even though we speak English over here don't ever consider that you will have a welcome anywhere in my vicinity unless, of course, you learn a lesson in humility (and I can assure you that you will one day and you are not going to find it pleasant judging by your attitude). My thoughts and prayers are with you.
