Namaste is a greeting that recognizes the divinity of all.

The speaks to the true self in any person that we meet, and recognizes the unity of the individual being greeted and the one doing the greeting.

It is a simple recognition of the unity of all of creation and the ubiquitous nature of the creator in all of us. It speaks directly to the part of each of us that is a part of God.

God bless you is a term that reinforces the idea that we are separate as individuals, and separate from a God that needs to bestow this blessing from some place external to the self. This is not the case.

Namaste is just a term used for saying "Hello" or "Greetings". Sat Sri Akal - the punjabi version - refers to "God is truth" and is closer than namaste in that sense to "God Bless you".
