I have been reading this forum for months and over the past four weeks, I have been amazed at some of the nuances expressed here in connection to Arabs and Muslims, So I am left to asking the Question as plainly as is allowable by Y! answers.

The Israelis certainly seem to think so and I would say Western governments too. If it were the other way round and innocent Israelis were being murdered on mass they would start WW III but it Arabs and the only people that care don't have the power to intervene.

Of course it is not.

But is it ok for many Muslims to blindly support Hezbollah purely because of their hatred for Israel, or to dance in the streets when 9/11 happened, simply because they see the USA as Israel's best buddy ?

If Israel kills a child, it is posted all over this forum, yet Hezbollah have been firing missiles into Israel for the last 18 months, killing innocent Israelis without some much as a peep from our Muslim cousins.

Israel is killing many innocent people within Lebanon - that is in no doubt, but it is in response to the daily attacks on Israel from Hezbollah fighters hiding across the border in Lebanon.

The kidnapping of the 2 Israeli soldiers was the final straw.

Let keep things in perspective. Both sides have many faults and both are to blame for the current situation within the Middle East, are as Iran and Syria who both fund Hezbollah rather than giving aid to the refugees within the conflict.

The answer is yes. The same as a British or American life is more important than a life in Africa. All life is not equal this is rubbish, not even in our own society. Who cares when a young drug dealer gets all shot up? Nobody does, who cares when a middle class businessman get murdered ... lots of people. Face it, we value some life more than others.

Israeli's are seen as more like Brits and US. They live in a democracy , they are better educated then Arabs generally and they share more of our ideals and values. Lets be honest most Arab nations live in a fairly prehistoric age of civilisation with no value for things like free speech, democracy and women's rights. They support the actions of Hezbollah and hold their religion more dear to them then their nationality or democratic values, they are easily led and easily brainwashed by religious leaders......

Most people value Arab lives to a lesser degree of Israeli ones. And hell, I agree, I meet some Israeli's who had served in the Army and they are nice guys, they are more like us. They genuinely are sociable, drink and party. They don't want to be out there fighting in the Army any more than any one else. They have to to defend their families and their nation, where as lets be honest Arabs have some fundamentalist religious beliefs that they believe Israel and Jews shouldn't exist. It is the Arabs who are the racists , not the Israelis. The Israeli's would be happy to live next door to Arabs or with Arabs, yet the Arabs seem to refuse to except this and want violence and war.

All Human Life is not equal. It is the law of nature. We value those with our ideals and beliefs, far higher than those who do not. We are all self interested.

Life is life...in theory all are equal...but in war and hate and bigotry, which is the sad reality of much of the world, only the lives of your own peers seem important...I answer the question no, of course...and as a Jew, but one that tries to understand all sides of the issue...but as long as elements believe Israeli life has no right to exist (and some elements believe just that) then the Israelis will defend themselves...it's a disgusting circle that doesn't appear likely to end soon...if ever

Without a doubt YES! Whether they be Sephardic Jews from Africa or European Jews, the Israelis have valued life like no other people on earth.

The Arabs generally have a disdain for life because their cultures lack the humane qualities nescessary for the betterment of people, society and country.

No, they aren't...however, in a war, and in protection of it people, they have the right to defend themselves....and in this war, yes, an Israeli life is more important than a Lebanese life....but any other time....No

No life is more important than another. What does that have to do with anything? But, I guess some people need to understand that when they say that they believe in the complete destruction of Israel, there will be consequences for their words.

In fact they are equally important. But those who deny that it is disproportionate for Israel to kill ten times as many Lebanese as vice-versa obviously think it takes several Lebanese to avenge one Israeli.

The concern is more Israeli versus terrorist lives, not Lebanese.

maybe we should direct this another way shall we
1) true not all terrorist are muslim
a. the fact is the majority is muslim
2) maybe just maybe when another muslim knows another muslim that is doing something bad maybe instead of just letting it go you should report that person to the athoritys maybe if you did this your country wouldnt be in trouble so often but no you continue to let it go on
IN MY MIND AN ISREAL LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY VALUE LIFE YOU DONT SEE TO MANY OF THEM BLOWING THERESELVES UP DO YOU?
