If I buy an uncut loaf of bread, by the time my girlfriend's finished with it, it looks like roadkill. I asked her once if she'd used an angle grinder.

yes...I can cut bread perfectly...we live in a village and sometimes cut loafs aren't available and you want to see the mess she can make of a roast chicken. Looks like she's used an axe.

unless of course we're having 'Chicken Butane' which is where she puts it in the oven for 2 hours without lighting the gas and it starts to expand ready to kill the next person who walks past with a cigarrette in their mouth,

for your information i can cut "uncut loaf bread" more than you do! its just your girlfriend who can't...but maybe your girlfriend can't cut "uncutt loaf bread" becouse she's taking care of her hand...so, by the time you'l ask her to marry you her hand is perfect for the ring you gave her...

Anyway,freshly baked bread is quite hard to cut,even by an expert.
You do the cutting,or try sliced bread-not the same,l know...

Maybe she has a terrible technique. Teach her the best way to do it and sharpen your bread knife (get a bone saw knife if you can. Very sharp. We cut a branch off a tree with one)

We have a little machine for cutting bread whenever i bake my own bread and it also cuts sausages etc, very handy.
