I have very very thick and curly hair i get my hair cut at toni and guy every 6 weeks. I need to straighten my hair every day because it gets all kinky and fuzzy after i have slept on it. I bought the ghd straighteners because i heard that they are the best ones for your hair.

Have a look at my 360. I used them! (Only joking.)

They shouldn't ruin it, but it may dry your hair out - perhaps necessitating more conditioner. The thing that can ruin hair is strong chemicals such as bleach and some stronger hair dyes.

Yeah sweetie it will totally fry ur hair maybe not now but it will. Your hair will start to break off and get split ends. If your gonna straighten it every day thenmake sure you do some serious conditioning once or twice a week like mayonaise and olive oil mixture. It protects your hair and makes it really shiny. ANother thing can be to straighten every other day. Take a body shower everyday but wash ur hair every other day so that way you dont have to straighten it all the time. Good luck gorgeous!

I have the same type of hair as you. I use ceramic straighteners, but not GHD. I have done so for about 3 years now. Apparently the GHD ones are the best to use and they sell an oil spray to add into your hair to protect it to. My hair is now more frizzy than curly, but I wouldn't ever go back to curly hair..... I love my straight locks too much now (",)

Using straighteners every day will ruin your hair. However, if you use a straightening product when blow drying before using your ghd, you shouldn't have to straighten it every day. Use plenty of quality shampoo and conditioner for dry and damaged hair, and use a weekly deep condition. And use plenty of heat protectant too.

i straighten my hair everyday with ghd's and everybody (includin my hairdresser) says ive got really soft hair. to still keep my hair healthy i use conditioner every other day after shampooing my hair and leave it in 4 a few mins, i also use ghd iron oil and 'catwalk fashionsta' smooth and shine (which i buy from my hairdressers so they will probably sell at toni and guy).
I hope this helps

If your hair is frizzy after you sleep on it. Perhaps you should wash it in the morning. Then blow dry it straight after using the straighting conditioner . The heat from an iron everyday is very damaging. Perhaps if you do it more this way , you will have healthier hair. If you hair is that disordrely, maybe try a straightening perm?

Why don't u ask your technician about relaxing?? It might not get your hair poker straight but it'll make it alot easier to manage and u won't have to use your straightners all the time. If u don't want to do this make sure u always use a heat protector before u use the ghd's. XXX

All heat will ruin your hair. Just like blow drying in very warm air ruins hair. All straighteners and chemicals WILL ruin your hair. If really needed do not use every day but on special occasions.

yeah they will, a friend of mine does the same and her hairdresser has a go at her every time, saying that they have left her hair iin TERRIBLE condition....it doesnt LOOK bad though, except she has little bits of hair sticking up where the rest of it has broken off...so yh thats not so good

the thing with ghds though is that they are good enough that youre hair can be still straight the next day, so you might not need to do it every day

GHD are meant to be the best for your hair and i use them!
But i always use a spray to protect mi hair before i use them!
Getting your hair cut regularly as u do will help
Make sure you keep your hair conditioned and try to use them only when you need to!
