If she is a new cat or has been outside and you are bringing her in, bathing is fine. I suggest using the kit. sink because it will be less frightening than a bathtub! Have you towel ready before beginning. Also open the shampoo first because your hands will be busy! I like to use liquid Ivory because it will kill fleas as well clean gently. Make sure to rinse her well or she will be licking the soap and that isn't good. Wrap her in the towel and rub her briskly but not too hard all over. Use another towel to wrap her and keep her warm for awhile. If you have air conditioning she may shake and shiver so try to keep her away from the vents. My cats always enjoyed sitting on the heating pad after baths. I would wrap them with it over their towel for a while. This is a good time to give her hairball med so she won't have any hairballs, especially if she is a longhair! She may allow you to blow dry her. I had some cats that would allow it, but not my present cat, Bootsie. You probably won't need to bathe her again if she stays indoors. If she is the only cat you might clean her ears every now and then because she can't do that very well by herself. It is a good time to put ear meds in for ear mites if she has them. I usually clip toenails after bathes also. Have fun bonding with your cat and always be firm with her and she will obey. If she squirms too much or trys to scratch or bite during any of this hold her by the scruff and continue. She will get the message!

i know some cats like water and i know some don't, if your cat is the calm one, fill the tub only half of its height, and scrub it gently (with hands or sponge), don't apply soap into the water! cats hate the smell of soap and especially the combination of water and soap! be very careful and act calm, make the bath as short as possible.

if your cat is FEISTY, just give her a sponge bath, dampen a sponge and rub her, then comb her hair, easy!

PS: give cats a bath only twice a month, if their muddy or really dirty give them a bath but not unnecessarily, cats take good care of their hygiene by themselves.

hope this helps!

Well, first experiment with hot and cold water, if she doesn't like that then first soak a WARM wash clothe very good. Next you lightly wring it out. Then you gently ease it onto the kittens fur and just let it soak on her back for about one minute. Finally you apply shampoo and then re-soak the wash clothe to rinse her off. You'll be able to slowly ease into bathtub time in no time!!!!!!

Cats usually clean themselves. I wouldn't recommend bathing a kitten, even in a few inches of water, as in some cases it can lead to trauma. You might want to consider using a damp cloth dipped in warm water and quickly rubbing her down. You might have to gently introduce her to the process as cats tend to run and hide when there's even a sign of water! (Some cats I've known jump right in! Haha!) Have a dry towel handy and quickly rub her dry. She'll do the rest and probably look for a nice warm spot to dry or lick herself dry.

Humans dont usually bath cats as cats pretty much take care of that themselves. They are different to dogs.

Fill the tub with a few inches of water and set her in. Gonna have to work quickly and keep her dry and warm as long as possible.
Hope she has at least been to the Vet for her vaccines!

as long as she stays inside you probably won't need to be bathed, cats can keep themselves pretty clean.

Cats clean themselves, but you can use a baby wipe if there is a lot of soiling
