a real study was done on that and they said no. the people who have said yes had bad eyes to begin with so i can understand that they think it had to do with the tv but they are wrong. this was a real test on real people i am talking about. i have heard people saying for years it is bad to sit close but they are full of crap. its like people saying if you start to shave it will make the hair on your face grow faster, well that is a load of crap too. i would not tell you something that would hurt you. microwave ovens are not harmful because of the microwaves, its the electrical surge that can mess with the brain.

Watching TV from very close to the screen is harmful not only to eyes but some research has shown that it can cause cancer also. The radiation ommitted from the picture can cause real problems.
The general rule for "how much far i have to be" is 3 times the size of screen is safe. say for example if you have a TV screen of 29 inches, you need to be minimum 7 feet away from the TV.
You can make your daughter feel that TV pictures are more fun to watch from a distance because if she is too close, she will get pixalized picture and sound will also not very clear.

Yes, it is bad for the eyes. And it wouldn't hurt if you were a little more stubborn than she is. Keep turning the T.V. off, until she can sit back from it. Have her eyes and ears checked. It is hard to tell when little ones are having problems. Good Luck.

Radiation is the word. Radiation opens the pathway for disease, like microwave's and cellphones do too. To get rid of radiation get in contact with Afons ven he was eletrocuted and almost died from it. www.alfonsven.com he has a cure

Get her hearing checked. Sometime kids sit closer so they can hear the TV clearer.
That's why I sat so close as a kid.
