It's too late for me to have a legal abortion now, and I know nothing about backstreet abortion clinics and where to find them. Is there any way I can get rid of the foetus at home, such as hitting my tummy?

For the benefit of the large number of ignorant people who've answered this question, it is not legally considered murder to kill an unborn foetus. It's a different homicide crime.
Have you considered a Danish abortion ship? Try a clothes hanger or hoover tools.

I agree with what the others have said. I'm not against abortion in general but what you are sugesting is sick and u need help.
Do you know why its illegal to have an abortion at this stage?
It's because if the baby was born now it would probably survive with the right medical care. Basically you would not be "getting rid of the foetus" but "murdering a baby"
Put your baby up for adoption as u r not fit to be a mother. When the baby is born you should be sterilized. No one deserves a mother like you. And get yourself some psychiatric help. Fast. Or u will end up HATING yourself.

Is there some reason maybe you don't want the baby? Maybe your young, alone or with a unloving partner. My son's 4 months old He's the best thing to ever happen to me and this baby will. I had a abortion at 12 weeks and it broke me. it was horrible. you actually see it. please don't harm yourself. talk to someone. I aborted cos I was young and thought I wouldn't cope without the support. It killed me when i saw everyone else cope and knowing I gave it all away. you would cope. If not there are people out there to help you. I see my son smile and laugh properly now for the first time and it's the best feeling in the world. please please get help. If you get a unsupportive responce the first time don't give up people are out there that will help. I really feel for you, ignore all the people that havn't got anything constructive to say they've obviously no idea how it feels to be in you situation. I know how scared you are but it's really not so scary and hard, it's all your instinct anyway!!! hope you get on ok and that everything is ok for you. remember :- never give up cos tomorrow could be the day your life turns around!!!! good luck.

Don't do it ! Why should your poor baby die (and by the way is fully developed and can feel pain and suffering) just because you didn't use contraception? It would affect you mentally for the rest of your life trust me. If you did have an abortion you would have to give birth to it - it would mess your mind up forever. Listen. It's not the end of the world even though it may feel like it at the moment. Seek help and consult your doctor and maybe speak to someone about adoption and how to go about it. Having a baby is a gift and the most wonderful thing. Why don't you take the responsibility and be a good mum and take care of it yourself? I don't like to encourage people to have children without being married or financially stable but that's another option for you to think about. If it's not then please have the baby and give him/her up for adoption. Killing it isn't the answer - you'd be murdering your baby. All the best and I hope you do the right thing.

You are obviously quite young. You need to get help from 1 of the many organisation that are set up for this kind of thing. You are not alone, many many girls are in the same position as you. Think of all the wonderful people out there who can't have children and would make wonderful parents to your unborn child. Don't even think about a backstreet abortion, there is every possibility you could die and a very good chance you will not be able to have children in the future. This is going to be a very very difficult time for you so PLEASE get the help you need and it could easily change your entire outlook on life. I hate a lot of the very judgemental answer given on the site but I do have to say that you felt you were mature enough to have sex so please use that maturity to make the right decision here.

If it is too late for you to have an abortion in a hospital then you shouldn't have an abortion at all. You will not just kill your baby , but you will put yourself at risk for problems. I would strongly suggest that you carry the baby full term and give the child up for adoption. There are women out there that can't have babies and want to have a family. Help one of those families out rather than to commit murder by killing your unborn child. Fetus or not , you have a live human being growing inside you that will learn to walk, talk and enjoy life. Don't rob that child of their right to enjoy life because you have no desire to take care of the baby. Find someone that wants to take care of that child. Children are a blessing, and I do not see how someone can think of doing something like this or go through with it and have a sound mind. That child has a right to a life, find someone that is willing to give that baby a life if you dont' want to. One day you will regret that you killed your child. That child is a part of you, you are trying to get rid of part of you. You are killing yourself. Reconsider the abortion!!!

Well if you've waited SO long to consider an abortion, you might as well wait another 2 or three months for the baby to be born. If you've already gone 5-6 months, what's another 2-4 months?
You should've tried earlier. I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do. All you can do is wait for the child to be born, and give it up for adoption.
You should've had you abortion before 24 weeks, when it is legal.
You can, however, have a miscarriage. Contact me privately, and i'll tell you how to. It's safe for you. It won't kill you, it will only "kill" the fetus.

I'm sorry but that question is out of order. If you can't have one done in a hospital it means its a baby now not a foetus. Do you want to KILL a baby, your own child? If you don't want the baby then give it up for adoption and give someone else a chance to become parents and stop being selfish. and quierounvaquero you are just as bad if not worse participating in killing a baby your sick and need be locked up

There are lots of people and organisations who will volunter to help you talk through this and who may offer some sensible, practical advice. Try the Samaritans who will direct you to a more appropriate channel.

There are thousands of couples who would dedicate their lives to looking after your baby (just check out the "Trying to concieve" section if you doubt me) so, perhaps you might put some thought into adoption.
If you think you may be in any sort of physical danger if your pregnancy is found out by your family or boyfriend etc - bring this up with Samaritans - there are places you can go where you will be protected. You don't need to live in fear.

its not a foetus anymore, its a baby, a living baby. Talk to your doctor about it, there are a lot of people out there who are looking to adopt a baby. If you don't want the child give another woman who wants but cant have a baby a chance and do the right thing, the baby didn't ask to be in you so why should it suffer an abortion.

I'm sorry that you find yourself in this predicament. Your child is now at a point where it is a viable living person. To dispose of it now would be cruel and very dangerous.
You should be able to offer the child up for adoption. Have you considered biting the bullet and taking care of it?
I'm not anti-abortion. However, the laws are the way that they are for very good reasons.
