You can replace the existing default document by saving over it.
Open MS Word and the existing Normal. dot opens.

Make any changes to the document that you require eg. the font size, margins etc. then click on File - SaveAs and under Save As Type choose Document Template from the drop-down. Click on the existing Normal.dot, which is showing above and the name will be inserted into the File Name panel. Click Save .

You will get a message saying that the file Normal.dot already exists, asking if you want to replace it - click Yes

Go to the Microsoft Office folder under Programs in Windows Explorer. Delete Normal.dot. This is the default template. It will regenerate the next time you start up Microsoft Word and be like a fresh start.

no u can't. MS Word requires a default page to start.

but if the default page is corrupted or giving problem, simple, delete this file called normal.dot inside ur profile. It will re-create itself when u start MS Word.
