It is still very safe and will let him live a longer healthier life!! The only changes are that his pee won't smell as badly, he will not go out looking to breed and may lay around more. There are ABSOLUTELY NO negatives to neutering an animal. Give him the best life possible, NEUTER him!

Neutering is safe. It's a much less invasive procedure than spaying (female). A neutered male is more loving and less likely to want to fight or to roam. A neutered male cat is less likely to spray his territory.
It's all good.

yes you can have him neutered at any age, they do it in shelters all the time.
My cat was neutered as a kitten and he is now 10 years old and just as mean as he was then. LOL. He didn't change a bit

Neutering is not only safe, it actually can improve your cat's life and help him live longer.
You can certainly get him neutered at 3 yrs of age (neutering is for males, spaying for females).

Cats are never too old to be neutered.
He will be more docile and loving after he gets use to the idea of not being to be the "MAN" around anymore.
As far as it being safe, it is safer than him fighting other cats to get to the female.

Well, it might make it more docial and less agressess. If its a wild cat, it would calm him down abit, but your cat will be just as sweet.

They wont spray anymore, which is a very good thing.

If he is an outdoor cat, then you must do it. You dont want him getting alot of cats pregnate, do you.

It is more than old enough though. Try consulting a family vet for additonal information.
