You should tell her that you appreciate the fact that she is concern about you but it embarrasses you in front of your friends that she calls so much. I'm sure she will understand if you agree to call her a certain time while you out with your friends just to check in. But that you don't want to call every hour on the hour. But you will call her to let her know your fine and that you should be home around , what ever time you plan to go home and you'll see her in the morning. Maybe try to take her to breakfast from time to time. That will help her to trust you more and not worry so much.

Prove to her that you're perfectly capable of taking care of yourself... maybe you've done something that makes her worry so much about you... If her constant checking makes you mad, then tell her to decrease her banterings... reassure her that you're alright... your mother loves you a lot and sometimes still treats you as a baby but you should be grateful... some have been longing to feel the love of their parents and some don't even have parents....
Appreciate your mom... don't wait for the time she's gone to thank her for all the sacrifices and love she's given to you... ciao!

time to negotiate with her.
Sit down like a responsible young man.
Write up an agreement and then honor it.
maybe you can set up a text messaging plan where you check in with her every hour or so.
Promise to call her or text her when you get to where you are going and when you are headed home. And if you are gone a long time set up some sort of agreement that you make her feel safe and you feel responsible. You gotta prove to her that you are worthy of reasonably.
My daughter is an adult and if I travel anywhere she asks me to call and check in. Thus checking in isn't' all about control, it is also about being respective to those who are in your life.

Really at 17 you are not an adult and she has a right to check up on you. That is called love.

its like reverse pychology if she is annoying you cause she worries everytime you leave call her and let her know what you are doing if you go do something else call again so that she gets tired of answering the phone and wont bother you anymore

Try to put a separate ringer tone for you mom's number. and since you don't wanna take her call. simply put it on to silent mode.

Ask her to trust you!! That is thet process you need to grow up, to be independent and to be trusted!! If she worries about you, ask her to pray for you instead of calling you!!
