because it's a lie. Kind of like asking why we call a dog a dog. That's what it is.

Did you mean "why are so many people saying ITS lies?" I don't believe that everything in the bible is wrong. I know a lot of people take the entire bible as being the absolute truth. That is ok for them but I have found that a lot of it is just contradictory and I can't believe in it for that reason, along with other reasons. To me it is like someone starting a rumor and everyone putting their own spin on the rumor until the original rumor is totally distorted. People talk about what the bible says because they believe it to be totally true and they want others to know the word of their God. That is how they can "prove" their God, by using what the bible says.

Lie is a harsh word. It is hard for some people to swallow that all these people, in an ancient and superstitious time, did not exaggerate what they saw. It is the credibility of the witnesses in question. They may have believed what they were writing down, but what they saw may not be what really happened.

I don't know if the bible is a lie, but I do know a lot of the "prophecies" are lies. People need to pay closer attention to the bible.

Take Bible as a witness for the life of Jesus Christ. That's all. From four Gospels you can get a clear picture of the life of Christ. That is enough for a person to follow Christ. The rest all are histories, prophecies and opinions of people. There can be mistakes, omissions etc. etc.

well every revelation be it zabur, bible, quran or tawrah were from god from time to time through his messengers.
questioning the revelations is not only a sin but it even makes u doubt if u really beleiv in god.
being a muslim i do beleiv in bible as well quran itself. and i never doubt the word of God.
