Whatever, you do make sure you clean and wash the fish with salt and lemon juice. It will take away the dirt and stinky ness.

Curry can be cooked different ways. But you can fry the fish before you put it on the curry (it will prevent unwanted breakage and stinky ness).

Semi fried fish (good for large fishes like buffelo, king, catfish etc.): Oil (enough for the non stick pan), salt, chilly, coriander and turmeric powders (about 1 tsp each) in a shallow bowl. Put those pieces of fish there and make sure the powders and salt rubbed well on the fish and put it on the fry pan and fry each side about 2 - 3 minutes or until it loses its pinkness. If you fry it on low heat it may take up to 5 minutes per side.

Cook the curry until it’s done 2/3% then put the fish (just make sure you don’t stir too hard, or the fish will break). Cook for 5 - 10 minutes. Then serve.

Usually acorn squash or (other veggies from the pumpkin family) is really good with fish. You can add potatoes in it.

Curry cooked with fish head is called Muri Ghonto or something. It's good but the process is different.

You will need coconut milk (available pre-packed). Fry the power with oil and add coconut milk. allow to simmer than transfer to pot. Put in the fish head, add in binjour, onion and tomatoes. Boil till cook.
