While I have to admire the play of several current golfer, I have to say my favorite is Byron Nelson. I attend church with him and he is as genuine and humble a man as I have ever met.

Francis Ouimette..amateur..won US Open at Brookline..1913. He Beat all the world class professionals of his time.
He was less than 20 at the time. And he was just a young caddie.

female golfer, id say paula creamer or annika....
men's golf... i have a lot, but the ones i really root for is chirs dimarco and ernie els.
