i met my wife-to-be on myspace of all places. its funny cuz theyve gotten so much negative publicity lately. myspace is full of pedophiles and rapists, thats that the news would like ppl to believe, but if not for myspace, i woulda never met my girl. shes from the philippines and i know for a fact i would have never visited there under other circumstances. i made my profile for fun, just to meet people, and one day this beautiful girl messages me outta nowhere and says she likes my smile. i mean, it was like a movie. i was instantly attracted to this girl from the start. i tried not gettin my hopes up too much, we just started out as friends. i got to know her better, and we really hit it off. we got to the point where we wanted to meet in person, so i shelled out the money for a ticket, took some leave from the military, and traveled there for 17 days. i fell hard for her and thats when I proposed to her. shes totally everything ive ever looked for, and i had to go across the ocean to find her ;) haha...im from a town of less than 3000 and I met the girl of my dreams in the Philippines. I never would have imagined..but were totally in love and totally happy. and I have myspace to thank for it. congratulations to you, im glad to hear its worked out for others. internet dating and marriage is the future. the time when people would meet someone from their own town and get married is over. you can literally marry anyone now with the internet and the ability to communicate virtually anywhere. its amazing...

I met my fiancee on Yahoo Personals and we are very happy. It took me two years and too many bad dates before I met him but the wait was worth it. Read our story on our wedding website
