"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
According to this you can't even like your family. Also he said to turn the other cheek bu then he flipped out on the money changers in the temple.
John 2:15-16
15So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market"

Out of context? lmao The whole old testament was full of hateful and quite scary things. The first guy said "typical anti- christain", Well stop listening to your preacher about only the good parts and read the damn thing.

turn the other cheek when someone attacks YOU. Jesus cleansed the temple of His Father, God, because they had turned it into a "yard sale".
Hate in this context does not mean hate as we think of it. It meant be willing to even leave family if neede to promote Jesus and His teaching.
