Colors, possibly...although I doubt they can tell one from another, sadly

They have imaginations to but as they have never seen the out side world I suppose they would dream of the things that fill their senses like the smell of the ocean the roar of the waves the sounds on the streets and the shapes they come in contact with If you sit still in a room eyes closed its amazing what you can tell is going on around you ,but at the same time you have seen the car out side that makes a noise the mower running a street away so I guess with a vivid imagination a blind person would see what they perceive is about them in their world
But this is one of the best questions Ive seen on here well done

The dream state is basically a simulation of realitly, but can obviously get really strange and weird since there are no physical boundaries to the imagination like there are to real life...Our dreams typicaly play off of our most influential senses, for the normal person...sight and hearing. A blind person's most influential senses would be touch and hearing. They may dream more that they are touching the fake world around them, rather than seeing it...it is hard to understand...but then again, isnt it hard to understand being blind in the first place?

Actually, I have a blind friend. Since they learn to read braille, they have some knowledge of what certain things feel like. Like the warmth of sunshine, cold of winter, rain, ice, fire. They can feel themselves (not in a sexual way) If they have been told a woman or man is very attractive, and they feel their faces with their hands, they know what attractive is. I would think the rest is left up to imagination. I think , they are gifted in a way that we sighted people will never know. They are attracted to the person inside, and don't worry about appearance! Wouldn't we all be lucky to be able to do that?

I met a man once when I was in college,he was a professor and was blind from birth,he said he dreamed in color, and"saw"things he had read about,he talked about the power of the mind allowing him this sight. It was extremely interesting and no pun intended an eye opener for me

Just like they do when they are awake. They depend on smell and sound. They hear the voices of the people in the dream or their sub conscious create a voice of a person that they also created.
Like us they just feel emotions in their dreams, like happiness, fear, uncertainty etc. We pick up the emotions from the words spoken from people in our dreams and the environment. They would hear sounds and not see the surroundings.

I think they have dreams in which they touch and feel and hear if they are not deaf and because they do not see they must perceive each touch and feeling and sound with acuteness and definition what I mean to say is that I think they probly pickup body language through sound and touch on a level of awareness that we ignore and their dreams mimick their everyday perceptions .

Wow what a question to ponder! You could ask a blind person. I'm going to make this a mission of sorts. What a thing to think about...

They see the sames things as you and I do, and that is what we perceive things to be.
Just like two people seeing the same accident will see different things, so will the blind person see what they perceive to be reality as well.
Cool question.

Whao! thats a tough one! you need to bear in mind however that bind peopkle have their other senses acutely developed. For eg they would recognise your face by running their hands over it they have a keen sense of smell. Humans also generally have what is called a sixth sense so you decide what they see in their dreams!

The same thing you and I see ...but they probably have better dreams because without their eyes they become more dependent on their other senses
