Often God cannot help until we get out of the way. When you get to the point where you quit him, you achieve what the Japanese call "satori". There is not single English word that describes it, but it is not a bad thing. It is a place of surrender where you cease to struggle (usually against yourself). That is when God can act. Up until that point, he was trying, but you were getting in his way. He will never force you. Learn to live in a state of satori and life will be easier. The Chinese call it Wu Wei, or "effortless action". You think it is giving up on God, but it is really allowing him to act. Nature's intelligence functions with effortless ease, freedom, joy, harmony, love, and laughter. Life is not meant to be a struggle. http://taobarbie.com

I've wondered the same thing. Here's my story. I"ve just applied to grad school to become a psychologist. It's something I've always had an instinct for. I mean, people spontaneously open up to me and tell me just about everything, so I think maybe I'm going the right way over here. Anyway, I've had that feeling, too, that God doesn't hear me or doesn't help me out like He does others -- He never parts a river for me, hmph! lol Just kidding. A couple of weeks back I exchanged emails with my sister's boyfriend's mother, who is a psychologist, to learn more about the profession. She said it's very difficult, for example, to lead people through grief if you haven't experienced it yourself. I haven't experienced too much grief, but I've experienced a lot of other very trying things that pushed me closer to the edge than I care to be. Now I wonder if maybe that's the reason He seems absent until there's a crisis and makes "His Almighty Reappearance" at the last possible second, too. Maybe it's so that I will be far, far better prepared to help others through the same kinds of trials.

I don't know if your circumstances are anything similiar, but.maybe there is a purpose for it after all.

Sometimes, I look at it as God never helping out (and He knows I do help myself, too, damn it). Other times, though, I see "God's Mysterious Timing" as God never failing to be there when I need Him the most. One of the main things I, personally, need to do to keep helping myself is not to forget that.

Good luck with everything. I hope that you will find meaning and resolution someday soon. :)

God is a good God. But he also understands all humans. He might know that if we had it to easy then we would have no need for him. He seen that with Adam and Eve. But this question is so hard to answer because, we don't know the answer to this. Trials and Tribulations make us stronger in any case, so God may have a great purpose or us when we reach him one day.It does say in the Bible when you go through hardship on this Earth that you will be blessed in heaven. Go to the book of Noah and then you may uderstand this question a bit more. Hope this helps you. Because, it helped me to underatnd a little more then I once did.

underhisfeat...,
It's about patience and maturity.

Get into the word. You haven't read enough of the Bible yet. God isn't your errand boy! You have to understand that.

Dude, I want to be careful with you. It's just that you need to man up. Or as some people say: "Cowboy up!" Even if you aren't a man, get tough. Don't you believe that we are the devils enemy? If you are going to threaten to run away everyime things get tough, you are telling you and everyone else that you are wimpy.

You are supposed to be a soldier for Christ.

If you can, read Exodus.
Exodus 14:11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?

They disbelieved God at every challenge. Is that how you are going to be?

GOD gave humans a free will and leaves us to live our life as we chose! God does not even make us love or believe in Him!

If GOD must do for us, take care of our special interest, then GOD Failed in making us self sufficient. If you are in violation of His word, how can you ask for help!

Male and female living together out of marriage, then bemoan all of the negative issues that befall them. Even if they go to church and pray, what is that to GOD! Has He not called Man and woman to merry if the chose a life with sex?

God is not going to carry you through this life. You have been given all the tools that you need, used them. Many are around you that have fewer tools than you do. The blind, cripple, diseased, mentally or physically in capable.

You can walk, see and feel, but you cry more and louder than the deaf, the blind, or the one who's body is twisted and deformed. The wheel chair is not your legs and feet, still you cry while you are walking and running! Your stomach is full but you moan louder than the millions on the edge of starvation.

Your cross is but a feather compared to the iron weights around the necks of many. still you bemoan your fate the loudest.

God isnt helping you. Something else is. Beware of it.

The Great Mystery doesnt care about your daily mundane existance...he has given you everything you need to live your life the moment your born.

But there are other "things" that take your powers and hand them back to you only IF you acknowledge the existance of that being that can do that to you. As long as you give that being power over you...you dont have a relationship with God..you have a relationship with something else

God wants you to be whole....and in control. That other "thing" doesnt. its that simple.

He is trying to teach you to learn to be patient and let Him be in control. He will do what needs to be done in His own time not in yours. Who are you to tell God when to do things. Really trust in Him, but let Him work things His way. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we just need to mature or grow in some area that needs improvement.

You don't get your driver's license until you are ready to drive do you?

You don't earn what someone who has a Ph.D. earns unless you have struggled and done the work and made the sacrifices to get to that place in his/her life.

Sometimes God won't answer our prayers because we are not asking for the correct help or asking for help correctly. You still need a plan to fix your problems. God helps those who help themselves.

pray within his will, understand theres always a lesson from everything we go through, a lessen where we relise that Jesus is being honoured some how because of it, if it is glorifying his name. We have to pray with boldness and authority, and In knowing who we are in Christ. Who we really are because of him.
I am always asked by God to do the thing i would never do ! like admit i lied and cheated And I would not! I stewed for 3 weeks not being able to walk in the spirit and it seperated me from his pressence. But I gave in and I relised it was for his Glory He was being glorified and My Flesh, My own desires and self was dying and I was being obedient. And thats important! I wish I was doing better right now.could ya pray for me please.

Everything happens in God's timing. We as humans cannot understand or comprehend His ways at times, but there is surely a reason for everything that is happening to each and everyobe of us. So don't be easily disheartened, just keep praying.

becaseu we should be strong enough to face our problems alone and not rely on others help to get through life, so when you are at your breaking point that is when help comes along. if you beceom to dependent on getting help with every problem then you will be praying for god to make you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich when you are hungry and too tired to get up off the couch and make one yourself.
