I read somewhere that the shelf life of Coleman fuel, if unused, is five to seven years. If so, are the metal containers originally purchased still safe?

if the cans are not rusting it should be ok they have good seals..if rusty you can put it in regular gas can..also fuel stablizer can be added to keep it useable.
