The problem here is what we think of entering heaven is with the same animal body which actually is not. Its more or less like a mothers womb where the baby is free from any problems, emotions or feelings.
So its just a way of telling that you'll be served by such kind of angels. About women I don't know, but they too will enjoy similar facilities as by men. So making fun about something that you don't understand and won't get is really understandable.
May Allah open your hearts to the truth.

As I understand it, the Arabic word for virgin was borrow as so many of the Semitic languages were, from the Aramaic.
The Aramaic word meant 'white raisins.' Consisdered a delicacy and served when honoring a guest.
So it may not be virgins that they get when they arrive in heaven! It might be 72 white raisins!
Oh are they going to be put out!

First, let us see the proof that non-Muslims use to mock Islam.
I have never come across "72 virgins" line all my life yet I see it everywhere on western media.
Sad thing is some Muslims actually try to play along with it.

wrong info uve got dude. some1 pulled a prank on u.
just like on earth where some1 is made for u. so is it there. a person can have only one partner. no adultery allowed in islam, be it earth or heaven.
they say accd to a hadith from AL-BUKHARI that,
when a man enters the heaven there are hurs (beautiful maidens). one for each man and one for each woman. the moment u enter heaven, the one hur for u will be filled with life and r with u forever.
and no man / woman can have more than one. guess thats wat true love is all about. coz god knows that men cant b loyal .

"Islamic teaching" you refer is not correct
I have seen this question in yahoo already 4 or 5 times. People bring this stupid gossip about 72 virgians...from somewhere ...
Let me just tell you that according to Quran , there is no word mentioning that nonsence.
If you study Islam i advice you to change your sources/translations
