I believe in my government, but not the administration that is running it. I don't know how familiar you are with our history, but our founding fathers advised us to stay out of foreign affairs, well fast forward 230 years later we obviously didn't heed there advice. The system of government we have is great, don't get me wrong there are some flaws, so its not perfect. The policy's of our current administration is awful, they have no regard for anyone, including the citizens of the United States (unless there rich). Our government needs to stay out of foreign affairs, its not our business to go around to world and try to force our values, views and ideas on the rest of the world. We need to mind our own business and let the world mind there's, and if we did the world would be a better place. We have our own problems, record unemployment, the number of homeless and poor in our country is sky rocketing, inadequate health care, record national debt, the list goes on and on. If we would let the world deal with its own affairs and focused on these problems our country would be in better shape. I'm sorry for our current administrations foreign policy, hopefully America will soon come to its senses.

I strongly believe in many of the principles that my country was supposedly founded on, such as the idea that everyone should have equal say in the activities of their country, freedom of choice and liberty to live a happy life. Unfortunately, I think some of that has been lost over time, and power has corrupted the system. I do not agree with everything my government does or has done. I do not agree with cruelty from anyone. Please understand that many Americans are kept in the dark about all of our government's activities. Much secrecy exists in the name of "national security." This is true not only in American government, but in other governments around the world as well. Our government also does positive things as well, so please do not paint us in an entirely negative manner. Everything comes in shades of grey, as does every country and government.
There is an old saying that goes something like this: There are three sides to every story--your side, my side, and the truth. I think this is true in history as well. Ultimately, regardless of where we come from, we need to find common ground and peaceful terms we can all work with. Hopefully, devastating events will not be necessary to bring about that kind of cooperation.
In the end, let's all remember that government is really just a group of individuals. And people don't always make great, insightful choices. Let's forgive each other's ignorances and move on towards a positive resolution. It is necessary for all of our peace and survival.

Yes
You are entitled to your opinion
But - when storms and earthquakes hit - who do you look to for help
I bet that it is always the US
The only way that there will ever be peace in the world is with a stable democratic middle east
True things are bad in Iraq - but less people are dieing then when Saddam was in charge
and when it has freedom the other countries near by will want that too
especially when the Oil wealth goes to the people and not the sheiks in charge
It is time to share the wealth with ALL the citizens
You can see the bad or imagine the bad
Or you can see the good that is the US in how we - through our Government - helps the world become a better and safer place
View us how ever you want

I only live in the United States, but I am from Canada. Some people realise that this country is making life a living hell for some in other countries. I however do realise that change is coming soon, at least in two years so just hang in there and all should be right in the world soon...if there still is a world.

Im sorry, but the united states is not destroying the world. It is the religious fanatics throughout the world doing this. Honestly it is, and im not pointing a finger at muslims, its all of the religious fanatics, including the muslims, christians and jewish fanatics. Every war is revolving around some type of religious difference of some type. The US went to afghanistan and iraq because of religious fanatics destroying the towers. The real criminal act is that of ignorance in the form of religious fanaticism. I believe in my government, and believe in my fellow soldiers.

I do believe in my Government. I respect you opinion, but I don't share it. I don't feel that America is destroying the world. I think there have been mistakes made, and I certainly don't claim that the United States Government is perfect, but I think they are trying to do the right thing by getting rid of terrorist.

I believe in " a people elect the government they deserve". If you don't vote then shut up. When you are educated on the system of government then you can make an educated choice to elect those who have a profound effect on your life and everyone's around you. Who we have in office now shows just how knowledgeable we are about our form govenment.
