We are having an outdoor summer wedding in the evening next year, probably in the country on a farm (not with cows and pigs and chickens, that's just what we in the South call big pieces of open land in the country). lol
I am up to hearing ANY suggestions you have. Who knows, I might go with something I never would have thought of!
If it helps, we are wanting a somewhat country feel (not sunflowers and gingham check tablecloths), but maybe mason jars with candles in them. Something more old-timey and antiquey (is that a word?) lol
I love summery colors! My favorite color is BLUE and I know that I want some things to be blue. Maybe several different shades and tones of blue?
I REALLY like AQUA BLUE and TURQUOISE, colors that remind me of the ocean and beach, my favorite place in the world.
What are some other colors that I can use with aqua or turquoise or both?
Thanks for the help! Remember, I open to ALL suggestions!

I love that you're incorporating some southern flair into your wedding! Have you thought about using a monochromatic color sceme? Like using *only* blues, but in a variety of different shades. I have seen it done, and it looks so beautiful.
Also, I think that pastels like pale yellow or pink would look good with the colors you mentioned.
Another idea: since you're having your wedding at sunset, I think it would look be so gorgeous to match your color scheme to sunset colors...blues, pinks, oranges, yellows. Then it would be kind of a 'country sunset' theme. I LOVE that!
Just a few ideas...try not to stress about it too much! Once you get a 'theme' down, I think it makes it much easier. Also, weddings.about.com has A LOT of wedding info.

Source one is an eBay item that has aqua/turquoise with pink, green, white and an rusty brown. You might like that. It's kind of a french country feel but still very light and airy.
Aqua/turquoise is going to be tricky to get it to pull off the country theme. The tiffany blue is usually paired with upscale affairs paired with white, black, silver or brown. To get the more country feel you're probably going to want to incorporate a yellow or pink. A sagey green looks good with turquoise/aqua and will mesh nicely with the farm. I'd do predominately white and use the turquoise/aqua and whatever other color you choose as accents. White will stand out the most against the greens of nature and will be a good back-drop for your other colors to stand out against. I'd consider doing wildflowers in the mason jars with a nice tulle bow tied around the mouth. Glue a sparkly turquoise/aqua rhinestone in the middle. Use the lids from the mason jars for the candles spray paint them the other color you choose and put a white sand in the bottom of them and use a turquoise candle to set in them.
Good luck, you'll have a lot of fun with this one!

That's a little tough because there isn't really any country near beaches. Perhaps if you went a bit Cape Cod summer house. It's rustic, and you have the beachy colors. Shades of blue, sand, white... shells or starfish would look great around a mason jar candle like on a table. Wildflowers would also be a creative and pretty thing to use...

How about aqua, coral and white? That would be both summery and represent the ocean. I like the mason jar candles but maybe you could add hurricane lamps too. Another idea is to use old fashioned metal watering cans as table centerpieces. Fill them with flowers and maybe you could get a couple of metal milk cans, fill them with flowers and place them at the alter. This sounds kind of fun!

Beige relatively something impartial. You would opt for ivory, however I'd avoid something that resembles little one blue. That could be unusual. You would even do a light yellow. As I bear in mind from my sister's marriage ceremony, she had ribbons alongside the pews which relatively were not that luxurious. You would opt for wild plants as decorations which could provide you a nation think w/o being ho hum approximately it. Traditional is excellent, however I could preserve it functional. That manner the day may also be approximately your marriage and now not all of the main points of the marriage ceremony. I desire this is helping. Good good fortune! :)

I came across this bedding set today in target and thought that it would be great colors for an outside wedding. I hope you like them. If you get the chance to see them in person its much better.
Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
