Actually, website like Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, and Cheap Tickets charge a $5 surcharge. It is cheaper to go to the airline's website and book directly through them.
Unfortunately, Southwest Airlines doesn't fly to Mexico. Your best bet would be to get on your knees and give the captain of the airline a good blow.

Spirit Airlines! They have specials all the time. Some for 8 dollars to the Bahamas each way! I live in Toledo, Ohio. I went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for 69 dollars each way. You just have to check for their weekly specials. :) Goodluck
