Sit him down and tell him " You are a great guy but I just don't feel that way about you". If you want to boost his ego you could always compliment him on a few things.

You can't, because telling someone that you don't have any romantic feelings towards him would always end up in heartbreak. However, as long as you explain yourself properly, given that the guy is mature enough, I don't think you'll have a big problem at all. Still, maybe you'd also want to direct him to visit webdate dot com as well, and tell him that a lot of girls are out there waiting for a guy like him. That would at least dampen the pain!

The best thing that you can do is to be honest. Either way it goes, the truth does hurt. Tell him that I like you, but I don't have romantic feelings for you. I look at you as a friend. If he accepts that, you guys can continue to be friends- no hard feelings. If he cannot accept that, at least you know what kind of person he is. Honesty is the best policy and tell him as soon as you can because you don't want to lead him on. I wish you the best of luck.

Just be as honest as you can. Look either way he is going to get hurt, but as long as you are kind then I think if he really has a thing for you will want you as a friend. It is better to be up front then to lead him to think that he may have a chance sometime down the line. Hey you never know. Good luck.

Just be gentle, tactful. . .classy and polite. But remember, even if you gave him a million dollars consolation along with the let-down, he'll still probably feel a sting. (if the love was real)

There are no easy ways so just tell him upfront, he will be hurt but he'll live. And if he can't take it then he is not a man.

If his feelings for you are romantic it'll hurt whatever you do.
Be honest, be concise and be consistent.

It's probably going to hurt....honesty is the best policy....I'm sure he wouldn't want you to continue to see him or lie to him about how you felt...once it's out in the open, your friendship can be just that...a friendship
