I grew up on a farm and then in the big city. My daughter was raised in small town environment.

I think it's okay to raise kids anywhere, just spend lots of time with them. Each environment has advantages/disadvantages.

I am too old to be raising a family now, but we raised our kids in the country. I hate cities, too much crime, traffic, smog, too much of everything. Small town living is the best way to go.

I grew up in London-which was not great-city life, dirty high crime rates, not many parks/duck ponds too far from the beach etc.

I am raising my 2 kids in Cornwall-we live a mile away from the beach, there is also alot of country side around, lots of parks, woodland walks, duck ponds-we just love it here and I think living a large village is just great, there is still a community spirit and such lovely scenery-I am sure they are learning better values here in a low crime clean lovely environment.
