I've heard that it is something about seeing someone 6 times in your life before you are actually with them or something like that. Could someone please explain?

Its from the movie 6 degrees of seperation. The theory is that every single person is only seperated by 6 people. So for example say you wanted to meet Steve Martin the actor. It is said that if you know the right six people you could meet him. Ready. Your friend TOM is frineds with person #2 will call Heather now she is friends with #3 will call harry who lives in utah he has a cousin#4 who lives in california his cousins frined stacy#5 well stacy's best friend mary #6 is Steve martins personal assistant. Got it. But the key to it is to find the right six people. The theroy is absoutly possiable but difficult to complete.

Not entirely certain but I thought six degrees of separation refered to the concept that every person on this planet is tied to every other person by no more then six other people.
In other words perhaps we are related in that my Dad's, brothers, best friends, wife's, cousins, sister is your sister.
Not sure if its real or just something a mathmatician or Hollywood came up with.
Or we could be talking about something entirely different...

I think you mean the 6 degrees of separation. Which means .... There are only 6 different people that it would take you to meet anyone else on the planet. Say you wanted to meet Someone Famous, you know someone who knows someone else who knows someone else that knows someone who knows another person etc. that can hook you up with the person you wish to meet. Check out Will Smiths movie: 6 degrees of Separation. Great film.

Six degrees of separation - means that - my friend's friend's friend's friend's friend's friend is probably related to you. Essentially we are all brothers and sisters in the one global family. OK, Bro?
