It might blow a world record bubble, so be ready to measure it.
Unless it was an extremely large amount of gum, I don't think there will be a problem. I might cause a little constipation but shouldn't be serious.
My sister had a Boston Terrier that swallowed a balloon. It did get stuck about half the way out and had to be removed by pulling it out.
Watch your dog for the next few days. Watch for loss of appetite and no bowel movements. If this happens then get it to the Vet.

nothing really, if he eats it. its an old belief that when ever you chew chewing gum and swallow it, it stays in the digestive trace all your life. and that's false. Just like humans, chewing gum will pass thought the digestive trace just fine and will end up in the feces. now if by alot you mean like 4 bags of double bubble, you may want to check his digestive cycle regularly and make sure there are no solid parts when you rub his belly, i dont think this would rupture anything, but it could gum up some of the sphincters in and around the stomach, duadum, large intestine area. so be care full, if something dont seem right get him to the vet right away!! god bless

It could make your job of picking up after them more tedious, trying to pick up poo that's been saturated with bubble gum sounds like a tough task, just think how hard it is to get it off the bottom of your shoe, gum I mean, not poo,

I don't think it will harm him, but you might want to be checking his poop to be sure it passes completely. And make sure he can never get to any more chewing gum.

Watch him/her to be sure he doesn't show signs of bloat, especially if you have a bigger dog. He/she will have a hard time digesting it, and a hard time passing it out if you know what I mean. Other than that he/she should be fine.

If it was sweetened with sorbitol, it might make her ill, as dogs don't handle sorbitol well. If it was regular gum, she will be fine.
