Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

You're correct, while there are mentions of male homosexuality in the Bible, there is no mention of lesbianism. I'm not sure whether I would attribute the trend towards male homophobia as having religious influences or not; I suppose it's possible, I've never thought about it that way. I think I had always thought it was more to do with the generally-accepted notion that women just have more "beautiful" bodies; or that men have more pressure to be "masculine." Don't know if those reasons make any particular sense either I guess, might be time to take a class on the psychology of sexuality....

The closest the Bible comes to an actual mention of lesbianism (as opposed to male homosexuality) is in Romans 1:26. For the broader context, read from Romans 1:18 onward to the end of the chapter.
Now, to my mind that isn't the strongest argument against lesbianism. We may agree to differ on this interpretation, but in Matthew 19:3-10, Jesus makes use of Genesis 2:24, in the context of a discussion on divorce, and takes this verse as 'God's definition of marriage', and his argument against divorce is basically 'God didn't intend things this way from the beginning.' - i.e. sex involves a permanent commitment.
For purposes of divorce, He was focusing on the 'one flesh' part of that verse. Applying His reasoning to the issue of the gender of the parties to the marriage relationship, we would see that the reference is to a man and his wife, and conclude that God's intention from the beginning was that marriage be heterosexual.
I think that is the Bible's best argument against lesbianism.

I'm just writing to agree. Funny how, when it comes to polygamy in the bible, it's always one man, lotsa women. So it's no surprise that lesbianism, though not really mentioned, is kinda a unspoken acceptance. I guess it's kinda like don't ask, don't tell.

Romans 1:26-28
"That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done."

that's the main suitable strawman the massive Bang thought has ever regular. The Bible is information of, properly, the Bible. there is particularly little archaelogical information that helps the theory that those activities befell.
