Assuming we're NOT talking about the acronym for "Parent-Teacher-Association" or any other association...
I ask because I was watching Reno 911 (on Comedy Central) and one character was lecturing about preserving water by avoiding unnecessary showers... she said something like-
"...then my mom introduced me to the p-t-a... I'll tell you what that means afterwards in private..."

So does anyone know what that stands for? I'm curious...
thanks =D

Wow, I wish I could respond to each answer so far, it's REALLY hard to pick a best one...

I've found this link:
http://www.newsreview.com/chico/Content?oid=oid%3A9070
and even though I thought that 'teeth' was the best choice for the 'T' position, I decided that since that link features a WW2 veteran (male) admitting to doing a PTA and specifically naming it as "privates, **** and armpits"-- it must be what the show was referring to.
I don't get the '****' thing because unless you're lactating, it doesn't make any sense. But as I said- the vet used it, so my logic is that it must have been used for the rhyme (****/armpits)

For those who said Parent Teacher Association...
wow. how ingenious. i never thought of that.
For the chick who suggested googling it...
wow. how ingenious. i never though of that.
(also, wtf?

That's a good suggestion, about checking Acronym finder, ...incidentally, I have a widget on my mac that will do that for me, and I did so before coming here, there were 60 results and 120+ additional results in their database...
but, had I not already known about it, it would've been a great tip. (it's a great tip anyway)
And I agree with the guys who said "tush" or "teeth" as opposed to ****, it just makes more sense, but... I can only pick one and the correct answer would appear to be the most vulgar- (which makes sense, we are talking about a comedy show ; ] )

My heavens, I never have been flashed, but I did unintentionally flash a few folks once. I was in the hospital some time back and decided to take a stoll to the vending area. Well, I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing and, let's just say that those hospital gowns don't leave a lot to the imagination on the backside. The nurse came up from behind me and put a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was wondering why it was a little drafty back there!
