Reverend is a title of respect that applies to both priests and ministers.
Ministers are typically leaders of protestant faith communities, which do not believe in the need to offer sacrifice to God.
Priests are men ordained specifically to offer sacrifice to God. Some priests are protestant, most are Catholic or Orthodox.
Protestant priests typically lack valid holy orders, so while they serve to offer sacrifice to God, they cannot and do not have the God-given authority or power to call on the Holy Spirit to transform bread and wine into the authentic body and blood of Jesus Christ.
Catholic and Orthodox priests possess valid holy orders from the original, true church, so they do have the God-given authority and power to ask the Holy Spirit to transform ordinary bread and wine into the authentic body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ.
It is Jesus Christ, the once for all, eternal sacrifice of Calvary, that properly ordained priests offfer up in sacrifice to God, for their parishioners, and for the whole church.
Doing so, the people of God are provided with a perfect sacrificial offering which is truly acceptable to God the Father.
So, the main difference between a priest and a minister is: Priests offer sacrifice to God for the people. Ministers serve only as preachers, and as leaders of various faith congregations.

A minister is anyone who does God's business.
Reverend is a before-the-name title for a minister, usually after they have graduated a bachelor program in divinity, Christian studies, or ministry.
A priest is someone appointed by ecclesiastical authority and authorized to do special work for God, usually ordained by a bishop or other authority. Denominations differ in their definition of priesthood. Catholic priests generally hold a master's in divinity and have been ordained to the priesthood by a diocesan bishop, or a bishop connected with a religious order. On another extreme, Mormonism defines as priests all male persons over the age of twelve; the traditional role of the local pstor being held by someone they call a bishop.
