I would suggest before a person like myself who takes blood thinners daily gets a tatoo that they see their doctor and have a pt test.
If all checks out ok they then might want to make two appointments, one at the tatoo shop and one just before that with the doctor again.
At the doctors he or she can give the person a large dose in shot form of vitamin k that conteracts the blood thinners so the tatoo artist won't get sprayed with blood.
After that another pt test to adjust the blood thinner medication to the correct level, and the person should end up with a nice tatoo and the correct medication level in their blood.

I don't think tatoo parlors ask if you take blood thinners daily.

They may, but you need to ask your doctor if that's really recommended for you and if your doctor ok's it, then definitely make the tattoo artist aware of the blood thinners so they can be prepared for you to be a bleeder and take the proper precautions.

That doesn't sound like a good idea. Get a tatoo with permanent markers instead. It'll be around for awhile and when you realize you really didn't like it anyway, it'll be gone!

They have never asked me such a question, but getting a tattoo while on blood thinners is ill-advised.

This doesn't sound very wise. I would definitely check with the doctor first and, if he doesn't have a problem with it, ask the tattoo artist.

You should check first because you don't want to chance something bad happening.

sure.... they wouldn't even think of asking you that question to begin with~! ...and it sure wouldn't affect you getting a tattoo any way... enjoy!
