how do i say "you look beautiful" in french?

since there are so many variations, type your answer in french and then translate it word by word...that way i can choose which one seems more appropriate...(i want to say this to my gf)

Vous etes tres belle, (You are very beautiful) is the best way to say it. Others that answered, do say it, but when you say semblez beau, it's not all that much of a compliment compared to the very first persons answer.
semblez in that regard is more of a "seems like" instead of a "look" as in beautiful. Hope that makes sense. That's another reason why translators online arn't all that great.

No word for word translation but means the same
Tu es belle ( for a girl you know: friend, gf, mother, sister )
Vous êtes belle ( the polite way: someone you barely know )
Tu es beau ( for man you know )

No - not 'vous' if she's your girlfriend! Use the familiar 'tu'.
'Tu es tres belle ma cherie et je t'adore'.
You are very beautiful my darling and I love you.
