for those of you saying it would be too late.....

......no, it wouldn't, unless you died quickly in some of the catastrophe that would soon follow.......

....and saying it's not going to happen isn't a very mature answer.....the question said "if".......good grief!....not all Christians believe in a rapture anyway, and some are not sure...it's just a hypothetical question.

I'm not an atheist but since they always answer question's meant for Christian's .I thought I would return the favor. No they won't believe until it is too late for them. I was just reading about this in a bible study tonight. Their hearts are hardened to God. They scoff and hate. They work for the devil and some don't even realize it. The only thing we can do is witness about salvation and pray for them until the end. It is sad but a true fact that alot of people are going to hell. I don't want to be with them. That's why I cling to the Lord. When I sin , and yes I do sin. To say I don't would make me a liar and a hypocrite. When I sin I ask God 's forgiveness as soon as I realize it. God love's mankind and so do I. It makes me sad and angry I admit when I see how far gone people are. I guess I was more naive than I realized. When I started coming to this site is when I realized we are living in the generation of his return. I couldn't imagine there are so many people that truly hate him. There hate is so unreasonable. They don't believe he exist so why the vile hatred for him. Christians know why even if they don't. He is real and their soul know's it. The evil inside of them fear's God and hates him and everyone that stand's for him. All the christians on this site should unite for praying for these poor lost souls.

The rapture has nothing to do with it though. It is not dependent on God. It is an individual awakening, an enlightenment that comes over each of us when we work to find it. Belief in God is irrelevent.

"Then Jesus told them another story: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field. That night, when everyone was asleep, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat and then left. Later, the wheat sprouted and the heads of grain grew, but the weeds also grew. Then the man's servants came to him and said, 'You planted good seed in your field. Where did the weeds come from?' The man answered, 'An enemy planted weeds.' The servants asked, 'Do you want us to pull up the weeds?' The man answered, 'No, because when you pull up the weeds, you might also pull up the wheat. Let the weeds and the wheat grow together until the harvest time. At harvest time I will tell the workers, "First gather the weeds and tie them together to be burned. Then gather the wheat and bring it to my barn." Then Jesus told another story: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man planted in his field. That seed is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows, it is one of the largest garden plants. It becomes big enough for the wild birds to come and build nests in its branches." Then Jesus told another story: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and hid in a large tub of flour until it made all the dough rise." Jesus used stories to tell all these things to the people; he always used stories to teach them. This is as the prophet said: "I will speak using stories; I will tell things that have been secret since the world was made." Then Jesus left the crowd and went into the house. His followers came to him and said, "Explain to us the meaning of the story about the weeds in the field." Jesus answered, "The man who planted the good seed in the field is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed are all of God's children who belong to the kingdom. The weeds are those people who belong to the Evil One. And the enemy who planted the bad seed is the devil. The harvest time is the end of the world, and the workers who gather are God's angels. "Just as the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all who cause sin and all who do evil. The angels will throw them into the blazing furnace, where the people will cry and grind their teeth with pain. Then the good people will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. You people who can hear me, listen." (Matthew 13:24 - 43 NCV)

According to Jesus, the people of God and the people of the devil will not be seperated untill the end of the world!

Yes. I agree with the first answer. But no, I wouldn't respect and obey a selfish and childish being like "God" who expects humans to be believe and saying things he wants to hear. I bow to no king and I wouldn't want to believe in a religion that everyone believes in.

Well if God was a big enough dick to actually kill all of us to prove a point, I would certainly not believe in His divinity. I would spit on such an immature display! Sure, banish me to hell, but I would get the satisfaction of knowning God turned out to be nothing more than a self-serving asshole and predicted it.

There is no belief in god when he is proved to exist. Then it is no longer a religious and faith based relationship, but a fact and ruler based relationship. Proof would destroy religioun, as we know it. It would turn it into a country without borders, run by a king.

It depends on what you mean by rapture.

If I saw people zooming off into outer space, I would first seek professional psychiatric help. If it was determined people had actually zoomed off into outer space, I would attempt to determine a natural cause.

And, if no other explanation was available, I would have to conclude that Satan really did inspire people to create the bible and he had finally come and retrieved his followers.

The "rapture" is not biblical. It was made up by a sick woman in 1831. Study. Get your facts straight.
