Do people who spend $2.00 apiece on those little
bottles of Evian water know that spelling it backwards
is Naive?
and wouldn't it be more simple to buy your own container and WASH it and fill and refill it with water from home? I mean we would knock out those that complain "it's not COLD" well...if you would put your own bottle of water in the freezer over night, it could melt through out the day and you would have ice cold water....two bucks...for real...

haha, way to go with the Reality Bites quote.

I buy bottled water when I don't have my Brita water on me. Our tapwater stinks like sulfur and doesn't taste good. THAT'S why I buy it. If you like your tapwater then, lucky you, you get to save money.

Naive - it particularly is awesome! I only purchase bottled water while i'm out and approximately, have not packed my own water and am particularly thirsty! I do hate how the charges of bottled water variety, some places are very inexpensive 80p and others extortionate at £a million.20! additionally, I wish human beings would end criticising me as quickly as I order faucet water while i'm no longer ingesting alcohol - i'm no longer being inexpensive, I certainly like the style of faucet water so i'm no longer likely to pay a top type for a bottled, chemical-tasting version.

I'm sorry you have such angst about what other people do. Especially that you feel the need to be physically violent to those who choose to spend their money purchasing cold bottled water. Perhaps you should seek out an anger management course or counseling before this gets you in trouble.

We are all allowed to have our own opinions, and its perfectly fine for you to find it odd. I find it odd that someone would have seven cats. But, to cause bodily harm to someone who doesn't think the same way as you? Odd.

For many people, myself included, $2.00 is pocket change. The convenience of getting a cold bottle for an amount of money that isn't going to affect my budget far outweighs washing bottles and stashing them in my freezer.

I think it depends on where you live. I live in Las Vegas where the tap water is really good. However, I used to live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and the water tastes HORRID. Like old fishbowl. I had just started nursing school and one of my classmate's fathers was a cardiologist. He actually forbade her from drinking the tap water. They have a lot of problems with the water quality. I bought bottled water the whole time I lived there (especially after hearing what he had said!).

well u could bring it everywhere with u i mean if ur going to work and u bring ur own container to work so u dont have to buy a $2.00 water bottle thats gonna be a bit weird and kinda awkward.
Plus haveing a name that spells backward doesnt mean the water wont taste good.

While I am guilty of drinking bottle water from time to time because I don't trust the safety (or don't like the taste of) tap water and love the convenience of it, I do feel your pain.

In addition to producing unnecessary garbage and consuming vast quantities of energy, believe it or not, drinking bottled water also greatly contributes to our country's dependence on foreign oil!

In contrast to tap water, which is distributed through an energy-efficient infrastructure, transporting bottled water long distances involves burning massive quantities of fossil fuels. Nearly a quarter of all bottled water crosses national borders to reach consumers, transported by boat, train, and truck. Fossil fuels also are used in water's packaging -- most commonly polyethylene terephthalate (PET -- a.k.a. plastic symbol number 1), derived from oil. Making bottles to meet Americans' demand for bottled water requires more than 1.5 million barrels of oil annually, enough to fuel some 100,000 U.S. cars for a year.

So keep in mind next time you drink a bottle of water, you may be contributing to the mess in the Middle East!

Although I don't buy Evian, I buy bottled water mainly because water in my county is unsafe to drink. There are so many halogens (chlorine, bromine) in the water that it smells like Clorox.

Well water in my area is not the best tasting, and around my area we have had several scares regarding ecoli-bacteria-polluted water so I like to play it safe and I will pay the money to drink from the bottle! My health comes first.

Because when I'm done I like to take the cap off and twist the bottle really tight and put the cap back really fast, then slowly untwist the cap and it goes really far!

"We" don't. Did you just now figure out the "naive" thing? Bottled water is a con man's game and there are millions of suckers out there.
