Love it! Always!

You DO know that nearly all sushi is cooked. It's just Americans have shown it raw, and its' great raw. But most rolls are cooked. Shrimps and other fishes are usually cooked. Veges are cooked. Rice is definitely cooked. So what DO you mean by uncooked? Start with the basic California Roll and Cucumber Roll and move onward. If you're going head on for real raw fish, you'll never like it.

Sadly lots of Americans will never taste fine cuisine because they have prejudgments created by Hollywood. Why don't' you all stick to fat burgers and fat fries and fat pizzas.

And they ask why Japanese people live longer than most others...

i hated it until i went and spent 30 dollars for a roll. if the sushi chef is the real deal its amazing... im not kidding i went from not ever wanting another bite to being absolutely addicted. California rolls are gr8 and so are unagi which is usually cooked then rolled. I dont like the fish rolls though. Try it once more at a nice place and then rate it again. Hope u do u might just love it

I love sushi too. But if you go to a sushi restaurant you can get veggi rolls. They also have Shrimp Tempura Rolls, that is cooked shrimp-> my fav. They will wrap either of these items in the seeweed wrap with rice. Delicious cooked sushi. bye

The only time that I had sushi, is also the most awkward dinner of my life.

The girl I liked invited me to dinner with her parents, and her gay uncle and his partner. (please don't get me wrong, the uncle and partner were cool, if it wasn't for them, it would have been much worse!)

The dinner was so confusing; I couldn't read the menu, and unfortunately everyone else seemed to know what was going on... my inexperience stood out like fire in Siberia!

The kept babying me, "...Hey, try this... Take a bit of my blah blah....No, use your chopsticks!"

I was so scared, I don't remember eating or tasting anything, just trying not to look stupid or throw up.

If it wasn't for the uncle's partner, who told me that it was ok to use a fork, I probably would have just given up and claimed to be not hungry for the rest of the night (and i'm always hungry, : ( lol)

let me set the record straight. Sushi is not raw fish as you all think. Sushi is sticky rice with various ingredients- carrots , cucumbers, tuna, shrimp, etc.. it's then wrapped with "nori"- the greenish black covering on the outside.
BTW- when one talks about raw fish, the fish is NOT eaten right away (after being caught). It is cleaned, seasonings added then eaten. It's an acquired taste so don't knock it till you've tried it.

You probably tried one of those stupid Americanized sushi places where they have the humongous pieces of rice and seafood that they call "sushi". Trust me, it's good. Sushi should be small and should be able to be eaten in one bite. Stick to the simple stuff. I guarantee you will like it.

I love sushi, not a big fan of sashimi (raw fish). Alot of sushi dishes are cooked. Keep trying, you are bound to find something you like.
