wow, i guess her friend is the only other girl she would want you to be with. Sounds a little controlling to me. Scary!! she was prolly going through some emotions and thats how she delt with them. Sounds weird to me, but maybe she just wants you to be taken care of under all circumstances. That sounds like a nice thing to do, especially if your gf's friend is a lot like your gf. I would not read too much into it, unless you have reason to believe that your gf wants to commit suicide. To be sure, why don't you ask her what made her think of that? She may have been joking too. Been there man. Get out. This means she wants to love you, but doesn't and never will. She wants her best friend to take care of you. She likes the idea of providing a substitute for herself because she really cares for you, but it's not on the same level you might think it is or want it to be.
