Auditing gets rid of unwanted barriers that inhibit, stop or blunt a person's natural abilities. It gradiently increases the abilities a person has so that he becomes more able and his survival, happiness and intelligence increase enormously.
It is done by an Auditor, this is a person trained in the technology of auditing. Anyone can train and become an Auditor.
Auditing is a cooperative effort between the auditor and the person being audited.
A very high level and understanding of communication is needed for auditing to work.
Audior : Definition: one who listens and computes; a Scientology practitioner, a person trained in the technology and whose job it is to ask the person to look, and get him to actually do so.
The word "auditor" is used because it means " one who listens".

You are audited to eradicate engrams (harmful mental pictures that cause you pain), yourself and the auditor sit in a room where you hold the handles and the auditor works through a set of questions to find the engrams and then remove them.
