The highest score I have ever seen on a classic IQ test was somewhere in the 140s. A 106 means you are about average. An average person will score somewhere between 100 and 115

40 to 160 is the test range for a standard IQ test.
The vast majority of people will test between 85-115 with 100 being the middle of the curve. See the link.

The term IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, generally describes a score on a test that rates the subject's cognitive ability as compared to the general population. IQ tests use a standardized scale with 100 as the median score. On most tests, a score between 90 and 110, or the median plus or minus 10, indicates average intelligence. A score above 130 indicates exceptional intelligence and a score below 70 may indicate mental retardation. Like their predecessors, modern tests do take in to account the age of a child when determining an IQ score. Children are graded relative to the population at their developmental level.

It's an average normal score on an IQ test. Let me break it down more.
Scores as followed:

0~20 vegetable

mild mental retardation: IQ 50–55 to 70; children require mild support; formally called "Educable Mentally Retarded"

moderate retardation: IQ 35–40 to 50–55; children require moderate supervision and assistance; formally called "Trainable Mentally Retarded".

severe mental retardation: IQ 20–25 to 35–40; can be taught basic life skills and simple tasks with supervision.

profound mental retardation: IQ below 20–25; usually caused by a neurological condition; require constant care.

don't worry about it, just compare these scores to yours and you'll feel better about your score.

There are many IQ scoring systems. It all depends on the test that you took. Each test has its own scoring system. Sorry thats the answer. If you did it online go to the website were you took the test it should show you what the score range is.

Hi,
Your IQ is your mental age divided by your actual age, then multiplied by one hundred. So if you have a score of 100, your mental age is exactly your actual age. And a score above 100 means your mental age is greater than your actual age. Having a score above 100 means you're smart. So to find your mental age multiply 1.06 by your actual age.
