Your hair needs to be trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks to help prevent split ends. Putting it up does cause breakage, be sure to use bands with no metal pieces to help reduce the breakage. Useing hairspray or any other product in your hair does not affect your hair growth

Putting your hair in a bun or ponytail doesn't cause split ends. Split ends can happen simply from everyday wear and tear like combing it. When you comb, be gentle. But getting a trim regularly is healthy for your hair to avoid this. Think of yarn that can fray at the ends if you keep messing with it, just like hair, the ends can thin and fray. As for hairspray, it shouldn't stop your hair from growing so you can spray all you want.

Sounds like a "dry scalp/hair" dilemma. Go to your nearest hairdresser and request a hot-oil treatment. Your split ends are a normal occurrence, as untreated, abused hair will rebel, and that's why you have split ends. Your hair should be trimmed on a regular basis when the hair has been cut. Then at least once per month, use a non-greasy cream base [like Clairol vita-pointe] to give your hair follicles some moisture. Stay away from rubber bands, heat, hairsprays etc., as they damage the hair and can also clog your hair follicles. Healthy hair begins at the scalp = the root.

Lack of moisture and expose to elements cause split ends...cut them...cut hair regularly (6-8 weeks) will help control split ends...not bun and/or ponytail is NOT causing split ends. Hairspray will NOT stunt growth but will cause DRYING.

I dont know about the bang situation but I do know that wearing your hair in buns and pony tails to tightly can cause breakage and split-ends. Try cutting your split-ends off like once every 1-2 weeks in-between hair appointments. Hope it helps! ♥

Nope, split ends happen to everyone. You can't really prevent them, but you can help lessen their appearance by reducing the amount of blow-drying and getting trims often. Hairspray will not stunt any hair growth... just be patient and it will grow.

well, if you hook your hair up alot, it will cause severe damage, do some other hairstyles. let it down, use a grabber clip and hook it. but dont use a scrunchie everyday. do not over treat your hair, use treatment like once a week. and if you hair is short you can sew in hair now and then. and get your hair clipped to get rid of split ends. and spraying your hair in a bang can really give you some bad acne, let your hair dry from treatening before letting it in your face. ok, hope you got all the info you needed.

well the hair spray with dry up your hair if it has acohal in it,, for the split ends wash with moisterizing shampoo, even if its like the dollar ones like white rain or something, then condition your hair should be fine. you can tell moisterizing shampoo by its pearly color, never use a clear shampoo because it will strip your hair

Elastic ponytail holders will break hair, if you must put it up, try a jaw clip.
