Polls say that most Americans don't think things are going well in Iraq. In a CNN survey released on Friday, 36 percent approved of Bush's management of the war and 62 percent disapproved of the war.

More than 2,588 U.S. troops have died in a conflict that has cost more than $300 billion since the March, 2003, U.S.-led invasion. Because of the sectarian violence, the Pentagon is boosting U.S. forces in Baghdad by about 5,000 and earlier hopes for a big troop cut in coming months have faded. As most people in the military now know the war is not as easy as some believed 3 years ago. Many fear this will end up like another Vietnam and it now looks as if it is going that way. It looks like the Republicans will go down in defeat this Nov.

I strongly supported us during Desert Storm, as did most of the world. And I strongly supported us going into Afghanistan, as did most of the world.

The thing is, we had Osama cornered in Afghanistan, we were THAT close to capturing him when our president suddenly pulls back most of our troops and decides to focus on Saddam and Iraq. In doing so he leavens the capture of Osama up to the local warlords, which is like leaving the policing of WorldCom up to Ken Lay.

My anger at Bush is in what I see as his pure mismanagement of the real threats to our country.

HE DROPPED THE BALL and most Americans now know this too.

Are you blind and1? Do you honestly believe we're free? Two words; "Patriot Act." Another two; "Airport Security." Shall I go on? Have you actually TALKED TO any returning troops, and gotten THEIR perspective on what they think they did and how much they love Bush? Vietnam was to build more capital for the country. So is this. War is the biggest business in the world. On average, over 80 Billion dollars a year ten years ago was the amount grossed during wartime. What do you think, the numbers went down in the last ten years? What does a business like this do with profits each year? Do you think they make less or more money now or during Vietnam?

Hello, do you know that one of the reasons we are spending so much money is that Bush has the fastest response time of any president in getting new technology and equipment for the troops. You know to keep them alive. We actually have a program designed to help troops get the new equipment that they need.

Why don't you go and fight the terrorists yourself?? Until you have been there and seen the evil you can not talk. One day if the media and weak minded win and we give up the battle, we will have another attack. The next time it will be nuclear and millions will dye. Will you be happy then?? I hope so, because that will be it and you yourself will have your head cut off by the people we are now fighting because you are an infidel.

I wouldn't worry about it. The Republicans have the electronic voting machines rigged in the big states so it's a moot point.
