I don't know about journalists, but, many scientists do believe in GOD.

Interesting question. Both disciplines - science and journalism - require, almost as part of their definition, that things should not be taken on face value or ascribed a mystical significance. The job of a scientist is to find rational, not faith-based, explanations for things to advance the cause of logic and understanding. The job of a journalist is to share what they have actually seen, not what they believe. The minute a sense of god intereferes with either of these functions, their professional calibre is arguably lessened.
However, as many have cited the Einstein example, let's explore this. Ask any 100 scientists if they believe in God and you'll probably get a 50-50 split. Many identify God as the source of their curiosity and wondering about the universe, and hence as their inspiration to understand more about that universe.
In a career that so far spans nine years in journalism, I've never yet met any passionately religious members of my craft - at least, not while doing their day-job. Journalists tend to be the annoying people at magic shows, pointing out to the audience that it's all done with mirrors, or exposing a nasty truth behind a politician's smile. Keeping a sense of God is perhaps more difficult in this job than in the scientific realm, as every story we write tries to uncover the lowest form of truth - the bass note, the disappointment behind hope, the rawest, most scarred humanity beneath the illusion that we're anything special. Journalists are a constant nagging reminder that human beings are unmercifully unpleasant to each other on a daily basis, and even when there's good news to report, we don't like to trust it, in case it turns out to be fake, and then, as it were, the joke will be on us for believing it. I'm sure there are probably millions of god-believing journalists in the world, but overall, I'd say it's one of the hardest jobs in which to keep that belief alive.

Check census results. I'm pretty sure that the numbers reflect the same percentage as the rest of the population. About a third of the U.S. have committed to regular church attendance, prayer, and Bible study. There is a scientist organization that adhere to the design theory that will likely give you an idea of the numbers of scientists that believe in a Designer.

some do . have you ever read louis pascal's life incident ?
it goes like this . pascal was sitting in a train and a young man came and sat in front of him in the coach . the young man then started a conversation with pascal and did not know that he was talking to the great pascal. he was telling pascal that he was going to join the pascal college founded by louis pascal . he also told pascal that he thought louis would have been an athiest . louis then said that he thought that louis was not an atheist . after a heated discussion when the train was about to stop , pascal gave his card to that young man and left the man speechless and astounded and a bit sheepish

Yes many do but usually if they admit it, they're no longer called Scientists or Journalists by others in the field.
