I'm sure that making a wig might be a difficult task to achieve in a short period of time, & I'm assuming the daughter wants this for her Mothers wake or funeral.
You might suggest to her that because of time limitations it may be easier for her to show you photos of the kind of hairstyle she would like & ask if it would be ok to purchase a wig & then weave the daughters own hair into the wig.

If the daughter has long hair & if Moms hair-loss was due to cancer treatment you may also suggest that any 'surplus' hair be donated to www.locksoflove.org
Hope this helps

The hair has to be a certain length and it needs to be made into a wig,but I don't know how fast that can be done and how expensive it is. I don't know if this would work, but could you attach the hair to a hat,you know like a real pretty hat so that it would look nice. You would probably have to use some type of glue too. The hat idea might work if there is no time to have a wig made. P.s. I just had another idea, could you get a short wig ,put it on the mom and then make a braid of the daughters hair,it will look like the mom has long hair in a braid???? or get a wig and weave in some of the daughter hair. Good luck and God bless

Have the daughter give you her hair that has been cut and braided. Draw your pattern of how the hair should be styled. Obtain a skull cap only for the center of the head, and glue the hair onto the skull cap. This cap will be placed on top of the deceased woman's head. Now, you are ready to style the hair piece and the hair can be brushed in a forward sweep [no one will see the back of her skull]. Have the daughter assist you. Once the style has been finalized by the daughter; everyone should be happy with the end results. P.S. If not enough hair is available, purchase a ponytail and shape the hair in the same forward sweep as suggested above. Place a flower on her right side near her ear.

You can ask the daughter to get a wig/hairpiece made from her natural hair, the mother can wear the wig for the funeral. If that's not a possibility, convince the daughter to get her mum a regular wig to conceal the baldness, and to enclose a lock of her own hair in a locket around her mum's neck if she's so keen on her mum carrying a part of her to the grave.

if you can make a wig out of it. if not get a picture (recent) and go to a hair store, on in the getto would be better more choices, match the pic up with a wig. when you go to put the wig on start it from the back and adjust it in the front, style the front to look like the regular do. and walla you've done it. if the hair you cut off of the daughter isn't thick or enough it will look like she is going through kemo, unless you can mix her hair and human hair together to make a full wig.....good luck with this one its a job

The only way to make it look presentable would be to have the daughters hair made into a wig for the mother. This will take time, which you may not have...but that is my only idea

I think you're going to need to find a wig manufacturer that would be willing to make a wig out of the hair. You could maybe contact locks of love & see if they can help you find someone.

That was very sweet of the daughter, I wish you the best of luck with this!!

Try putting a wig on her. Maybe you can use weave clue on the mother scalp to make sure the wig does not move. Have you ever heard of a quick weave. I believe you place a stocking cap on the head. You take the weave and glue it onto the cap. Next, you style it. But, you might want to find out for sure. I've seen people with this quick weave, and it looks good.

I guess you could simply sew it into the scalp. You woudl need a large needle but it could be done just like putting in a dolls hair. On second thought perhaps a wig woudl be better. It can be made with the daughters hair if she wishes just fit a wig form and sew the hair in.

Here's a directory of wigmakers (http://www.google.com/Top/Shopping/Health/Beauty/Hair_Care/Wigs/) but it sounds like you may not have enough time to wait for a wig to be made. You could check with the funeral home staff, but you may be able to glue the hair to the scalp. Once it's attached, you can cut and style it carefully.

That is a really sweet thing for the daughter to do, imo!
