Start making contacts with potential employers NOW!!! Write a letter to the VP or Director of Maintenance of the airline you want to work for, and introduce yourself... Tell him you're just starting A&P school, and ask his advice on what you should do to get a job with his company when you complete your course of study.

Try to keep a conversation going, and build a relationship with the guy, so when it's time to send out your resume and job application, he'll know you and want to offer you that job you're looking for.

Good Luck!

Mesa airlines starts at about 10.00 an hour (they will hire anyone) with an A&P. Depends how hard you look, the airline I work for now pays about 25.00 to start. Get expeience, then you can look for higher pay.

Don't give up, the good jobs are out there, good luck on your search!

Your school should have some kind of placement assistance. Do you want to work for an airline or in general aviation? Your qualifications and certifications will determine what type of aviation job you can get.
