I'd go with oatmeal. It has no yeast in it, where most breads do. Also, breads can add salt and sugar and oatmeal is... well... rolled oats!

Well, you can make even oatmeal unhealthy by loading it down with sugar. Bread might beat sugared oatmeal if it is whole grain and doesn't have too much sugar itself.
It's been said that there is no such thing as junk food, only junk diets. What matters is that you eat a variety of foods, heavy on the fresh, light on the processed, the sugar, and the fat.
Tonight, I'm enjoying red bell pepper slices, baby carrots, romaine lettuce with caesar dressing, won bok and cucumber kimchee, hummus, and a couple of slices of gouda cheese with a glass of sparkling pinot grigio. Yummmmeee!

Oatmeal, hands down.
It is almost impossible to make edible bread without using white flour. Most "healthy" bread contains white flour, and much of it contains sugar and, worse, high-fructose corn syrup, which has been found to surpress a chemical in your brain that signals when you are full. White flour, sugar, and corn syrup put weight on you.
Oatmeal lowers cholesterol and gives you the energy to get through the day.

oatmeal is rich in fiber and good for your cholesterol which is also good for your heart. There are different kinds of bread. but the best bread is multi whole grain bread. And it depends what kind of spread you will have on your bread that will not make the bread healthy to eat. So they are both healthy for you depending on how you prepare it.

Oatmeal has a lower glycemic index (basically that is how it will effect your blood sugar level), but a good whole grain bread with lots of fiber would probably be just as good, if not better....heck, eat both!
