i'm a teenager and my fellow teenagers and i have this constant bombardment form the media telling us that most of us are overweight and that we're becoming to skinny because of pressure to look like supermodels. no one really knows what's right anymore. i think that instead of telling everyone that htey're all becoming overweight they should inform people about the healthy weight range and the benefits instead of just saying 50% (or some other outrageous statistic) of people are obese.

Social pressure and the image of ideal is what keeps us on edge about the way we feel about ourselves. I would be a success if I just this that or the other. Love you for who you are and all else will fall into place.

i don't mind media and societal pressure to be a healthy weight. Obesity shouldn't be seen as attractive because it is so unhealthy. What pisses me off is how we feel we should be under weight to look good. I feel huge and i'm right in the middle of my weight range for my height.
